This year has been a roller coaster ride in every sense of the word. Whew! I've never cried as much as I did in this past few months to the point that I sometimes had a severe headache the next morning but still I had to work.
So for me to change the mood a bit and since it's Christmas season after all... I'd like to create my last food entry for the year =) Yey!... not that I'm consciously taking pictures of our family food dates but as I browse through them, I'm amazed that I still have quite a lot of photos and it did make me feel happy... Hope they made your mouths water as well =p
Fish & Co.
Greenbelt 3, Makati
The three of us had a nice bonding time at Fish & Co. in Greenbelt 3 on the day of our Happy Feet 2 movie date with Yonky Bonky =).
I was a bit hesitant at first because the foods were truly on the pricey side but as soon as I'd tasted their Seafood Platter and pasta... I couldn't help but be satisfied plus Yonky soo enjoyed the Fish & Chips!
We enjoyed watching them prepare the noodles and dimsums...very classy and it gave us satisfaction that everything was fresh and cooked on the spot =).
Mexicali
Megamall A, Mandaluyong
www.mexicali.com
I missed my Mexican lunch outs at SLC one day after church and we wanted to try something new as well so when we spotted Mexicali at the ground floor of Mega A, we just knew we had to try it and we were not disappointed.
I didn't particularly like their plates because they had some dents but the foods are quite good... it would definitely be a good hang-out foe us when we were in need of some dose of Mexican dishes.
Cafe Mediterranean
The Podium, Mandaluyong
We celebrated Father's Day for dada on Cafe Mediterranean because that's his request. It is one of our favorite restaurants here in the metro and it is because of their affordable Kebab Platter which is just around
Php700+. The platter is good for four persons but if it is my husband and me who would be eating, we could finish the entire plate =p! That day we decided to order two more dishes instead of our regular but all-in-all we could be good on just the platter.

Plus plus we also tried the Racks @ El Pueblo, Pepper Steak in MOA and Orchard Road in Megamall... =)

The Racks' Baby Back Ribs never failed to gratify my husband and me and Yonky had fun coloring in their plate mat. Orchard Road looks expensive in the outside but food is surprisingly very cheap... small, simple servings but very tasty. And whose mouth doesn't water in the aroma and succulent meat of Pepper Steak?!
Then on some days... when I am in the mood to just chill at home and cook, we just stayed home... have some sweets which we partner with either herbal or loose teas. I am also very proud of my new mastered dishes this year... Baked Fish with peaches + my version of the Java Man's Crispy Sardines Pasta (no picture yet)...
To be honest we still had no plans for Christmas because papa is still recovering from his Angioplasty and I still can't find the time to do my Christmas shopping... I will probably just waive gifts this year :$ Still.. wishing everyone a very very Merry Christmas!!!
Let's not forget that Christmas is God's expression of His love... it is in this season that I feel closest to our Savior because everybody is celebrating big time!!! More than the gifts, the laughter, the parties... first and foremost it is God's gift of eternal life if we could just be willing to receive this gift...
